Goodbye REwear.

After weeks of indecisive behavior, I’ve decided to pack my blogger belongings and move to a new platform, Jeline Du Jour (

REwear started as a project for my Online Media class and since then, was my fashion canvas. However, REwear just didn’t quite fit anymore. I wanted to create something more personal. I needed a bigger canvas to branch out.

My first blog will always be special. It was a starting point that pushed me into the blogging universe. I fell in love with creating my own space for expression and now it’s time for change. Let’s keep moving forward towards new adventures.

Alviso Adventures

I’ve been absent from the blogging universe for quite sometime now, (approximately 6 months) but I’m excited to finally update my creative platform after what seems like an eternity. Although I’m on summer vacation, my internship has taken a lot out of my day. I’ve come to realize, however, that I really need to make time for things I love doing (blogging, styling outfits, biking, and running) even if these activities are time consuming.

Being back home has been nothing short of amazing. I’ve been on a couple of adventures with old friends, one of which includes my first time exploring Alviso, CA. Alviso is one of the oldest towns in Santa Clara County.

As you enter the town towards the infamous Alviso Marina Park (check out #Alvisomarina on Instagram for pictures) you’re greeted by olden day houses and the once busy, but now abandoned, Bayside Cannery.

Staying comfy and warm was one of my main objectives when picking out an outfit for our biking endeavor. I opted for my black jogger pants from Cotton On, an Aritzia tank top, and a varsity jacket from Urban Outfitters. My black joggers are my favorite go to pant. The only downside is the quality. I’m a few washes a way from creating a hole in these pants.

For shoes, I slipped into my new Nike Internationalists. You’ll definitely see me rewear these comfy shoes in future blog posts. They are incredibly comfortable and way easier to put on then my Vans Sk8-Hi shoes. These shoes are the perfect mix between Van’s high tops and New Balance sneakers. The small bit of height these shoes give you is a huge plus (especially for someone 5’1 like me).

I’ll definitely be back to explore more of Alviso and hopefully bike the entire trail to Downtown San Jose.

Renew: 2015’s Color of the Year

I am so excited to incorporate Pantone’s 2015 color of the year, Marsala, into my wardrobe. Marsala is a rich, earthy wine red that adds warmth and luxury to outfits, makeup, and even interior décor. Although Marsala can be a statement color all on its own, it can also accent and compliment other colors like blue or gold hues.

What I really love about Pantone’s 2015 color of the year is that it compliments many skin tones. Like most people, my skin tone changes throughout the year. I tend to be a lot lighter in the winter months and tan super easily during the summer months. Having a color in my wardrobe that can adapt to my changing skin tone is definitely a closet must-have for me. Below are a few outfit sets I’ve created using Marasala’s deep and glamorous color. Rejuvenate: Fort Lauderdale, Florida

The holiday season is finally over and it’s time to go back to university (although I’m far from ready.) After spending a week in Florida with my family, I feel refreshed. I wasn’t able to document my whole trip, but I was able to snap a few shots at the dock behind my hotel.

When I travel, my main objective is to be comfortable. For the humid and hot weather in Florida, I packed a lot of dresses and a few light perforated cardigans. I strayed away from jeans to avoid feeling constricted and sweaty, but received a couple of bug bites from not covering my legs (which were super itchy.)

Arizona Birkenstocks were my go to sandal for the entire trip. Birks are extremely comfortable and durable. The pair I have are dark brown with copper colored buckles (an alternative neutral to black or white.) Wearing Birks 24/7, however, leaves you with an awkward tan. You also can’t get these sandals wet, so I don’t recommend them for walking on the beach.

For one of my outfits in Florida, I wore a yellow dress from Urban Outfitters. Although I’m not a huge fan of yellow, I love the bright color of this dress against my skin tone. The cutout details in the back also kept me nice and cool. To cover up, I wore a long cardigan from Nordstrom. The length of the cardigan balanced out the shortness of the dress and made me feel a little more modest.

I’m definitely going to miss being a 5-minute walk away from the beach (and the time spent with my family), but it’s time to go back to L.A.

Revamp Your Outfits With A Statement Necklace

I’ve always been a fan of accessorizing my outfits. I love delicate necklaces and dainty rings, but sometimes I like to grab more edgy accessories to revamp my look.

My current obsession is a chunky cluster necklace from Target (on sale for $8!). This necklace is almost identical to the sold out Zara Stones and Flowers necklace.

The crystal flowers and chandelier pieces are translucent, so you won’t have to worry about clashing with silver or gold accessories. Not only is this necklace a bold statement piece, but Jenn Im of ClothesEncounters also rocked a similar necklace in her Edgy Fall Outfits video (for all you Jenn fans out there).

Refuel: A Food Binge Essential

A t-shirt dress is the perfect clothing piece for food adventures especially if you’re planning to eat a lot of food. This type of dress flows away from the body hiding a potential food baby. The t-shirt dress is also a great dress once the food coma hits. Unlike a pair of jeans, this dress does not restrict or cling to the body whatsoever.

T-shirt dresses are exactly what you think they are: oversized tees. But thanks to stores like Topshop, Urban Outfitters, H&M and much more, these “oversized tees” are more refined than throwing on a men’s XL shirt.

T-shirt dresses are made out of soft and breathable fabric like cotton or jersey. These types of dresses can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. But rest assured, they are unbelievably comfy.

With the day off from school, I decided to sport my new t-shirt dress on a food adventure with friends to the Anaheim Packing District. For those of you who have not yet been to the Anaheim Packing District in Anaheim, let me tell you, it is freaking amazing (especially for foodies!). The Packing District is one huge warehouse (two stories high) filled with different food stalls. It has a plethora of cuisine ranging from fancy grilled cheese to Canadian poutine and everything in between. Besides the yummy food, the Packing District is visually beautiful, decorated with a modern yet rustic touch.

It was so hard not to go around every food stall and buy at least one item to taste (it is a bit pricey). After taking multiple walks up and down the Packing District, I finally decided to try the Tonkotsu ramen from Orange TEI. I’ve had ramen multiple times before and this bowl would definitely make it on my top five. The broth was rich, the noodles were firm, and the pork was tender.

A bowl of delicious Tonkotsu ramen.

For my outfit I wore my striped t-shirt dress from Cotton On that I bought on sale for $5 dollars. What I really love about this particular t-shirt dress is the slightly hemmed sleeves that enhance the silhouette. The striped print and color of this dress also made it a must-have for me. Since I wanted to add a little more structure to my outfit, I decided to throw on my thrifted distressed denim jacket. I also added my cutout boots from Topshop to balance out the casual aspects of the look.
